You can set up Rocket Broadcaster to stream live radio on Windows by downloading the software, configuring your audio inputs, entering your server credentials, testing the connection, and starting your broadcast. Follow these 5 steps to get your station on the air: 1. Download and Install the App
Check compatibility: Rocket Broadcaster is designed exclusively for Windows computers.
Get the software: Download the installer from the official Rocket Broadcaster website.
Run the wizard: Open the downloaded file and complete the standard installation steps. 2. Configure Your Audio Inputs
Open preferences: Launch the app, then navigate to Options > Preferences from the top menu.
Select your microphone: Under input devices, choose your specific microphone or external audio interface.
Capture system audio: To stream music or background tracks from other software, set the System Audio Capture preference to System Default.
Verify the sample rate: Ensure your sample rate is configured to 44.1 kHz (44100) for optimal compatibility. 3. Enter Your Stream Credentials
Locate your stream data: Open the dashboard of your radio hosting provider (such as Radio.co, Airtime Pro, Live365, or RadioKing) to find your live DJ connection details.
Open stream settings: In Rocket Broadcaster, click on Broadcast > Streams.
Select the server type: Choose the protocol your host requires (most commonly Icecast 2 or Shoutcast).
Fill in network details: Copy and paste the Host Name (or Server IP), Port, and Mount Point from your provider.
Add authentication: Input the secure streaming Username and Password provided by your host dashboard. 4. Run a Diagnostic Test
Click test stream: Locate the Test Stream button at the bottom of your stream configuration window.
Verify indicators: Wait for the diagnostic tool to finish; a successful setup will display green indicators or a pass message. Save settings: Click OK to store your credentials securely. 5. Start the Live Broadcast
Check audio meters: Look at the main Rocket Broadcaster screen and speak or play music to ensure the audio level bars move actively.
Go live: Click the large Start Broadcast button in the top menu bar.
Confirm the takeover: Check your radio provider’s main dashboard to ensure it has successfully switched over from the Auto-DJ to your Live DJ stream.
