Stop writing data: Immediately stop using the drive you want to recover. Saving new files or installing software on it can overwrite your deleted data and destroy it permanently.
Use a second drive: Always install the software and save your recovered files onto a completely different, healthy drive (like an external hard drive or another internal disk).
